A notion popularised by Senge in the 1990s with his book ‘The Fifth Discipline,’ the people in learning organisations continually expand their capacity to create the desired results, nurture new and expansive patterns of thinking, garner collective aspiration, and continually learn to see the collective whole. Senge advocated that only those organisations that are able to adapt quickly and effectively would be able to excel in their market.
